I’m really happy to see my books get mentioned in Wolsak and Wynn’s In Praise of the Weird, the Strange and the Uncategorizable. The essay from my publisher argues that weird lit is a key defence against the looming monoculture of AI.

We know what happens to an environment that is reduced to a monoculture. We’ve studied that for a long time. It would be terrible if that happened in our literature. But while there is a threat this kind of collapse could come to pass, as long as small presses like us are publishing those weird, genre-defying books we love – and readers keep buying them – it’s not going to happen.
