In my first book, Please, the narrator — who is only me sometimes in the books, despite what some friends and family have claimed — works for a while as a human drug tester. It wasn’t nearly as fun as this guy makes it out to be — and it’s sure as hell not a viable career choice. Or so I’ve been told.
